Gamer Supps Receives Cease and Decist from Dept of Homeland Security For Using President’s Likeness, Then Trolls Them Back
On June 4, 2024, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security sent a letter to Gamer Supps instructing the supplement company to immediately remove their LEAN products, which contained an “unauthorized and inaccurate depiction of the President of the United States”.[1] You can see the tub below, courtesy of archive websites.[2]
Gamer Supps posted the DHS / Secret Service letter to their Twitter account on June 11, 2024, but has since taken it down (archives are still available).[3]
Gamer Supps Responds with Troll Reply
Not to be deterred, Gamer Supps fired back on June 12, 2024, posting they have a new flavor available,[4] updating their website to display a tub with Groucho Marx glasses on Joe Bidan.[5]
Time will tell if the DHS will take this lightly, but for the time being, the brand is likely enjoying massive amounts of traffic and discussion, and could potentially significantly profit off of the debacle.
