Sex, Etc. is looking for new teen staff writers!

We rely on teens like you to provide other young people with comprehensive sex education, something Sex, Etc. has been doing for over 25 years! This is what makes us unique—our writing staff is made up of teens! We always want our content to be relatable, and what better way to do that than to have actual teens writing the articles?

Interested in learning more about what it’s like to be on the teen staff? Live in New Jersey, or close by? Come to our virtual recruitment meeting this Saturday, April 10 from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. by registering here:

Tell Me More

Curious about what it’s like to be on the teen staff? We write articles that cover contraception and sexually transmitted diseases but also things like body image, LGBTQ topics, abuse and violence, healthy relationships, consent and communication. Sex, Etc. aims to share comprehensive, medically accurate and honest information about sex, sexuality and sexual health, as well as promote inclusiveness and provide accessible resources.

Why Does Sex, Etc. Matter?

You can make a difference by joining our teen staff. Take it from us!

Melissa Liu (writing for one year): “Writing for Sex, Etc. has been so much fun. It has really opened my perspective on LGBTQ advocacy and sexual health. I love writing for Sex, Etc. as all the other writers are also teens! The staff at Sex, Etc. is so supportive, nice and funny. The team meetings, albeit virtual this year, have really helped to grow the bonds between us on staff. I am excited to continue contributing to a movement of inclusivity, education and positivity.”

Kira Eng (writing for two years): “Writing for Sex, Etc. has been incredibly rewarding and fun! I’ve been able to share my personal experiences, from being a bisexual teen to having been in a long distance relationship for almost a year to being an Asian American actively seeking proper sexual health and inclusivity in a medical setting. Additionally, Sex, Etc. has given me opportunities to write about contraceptives, ways to support a trans partner and how to navigate difficult conversations about sexual health with family and friends. It truly is a unique experience to work for Sex, Etc., and I’m incredibly grateful for it! I can’t wait to see what amazing work we are going to do in the future!”

How Do You Get Involved?
